Dr Les Kalman has been involved in implant dentistry for more than 25 years, spanning clinical care, research and regulatory affairs. He is a full-time assistant professor of restorative dentistry at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University in London in Ontario in Canada, and his research focuses on medical devices and dental technology. He has delivered more than 75 conference talks, presentations and continuing education courses and has authored more than 60 research publications, reviews, book chapters, editorials and case reports. Dr Kalman has received diplomate and fellowship distinctions from several leading dental organisations, including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American College of Dentists and International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics.
